This program is designed for children enrolled in Young 5's or Kindergarten for Fall 2010.  The key focus areas include: mathematics, language arts, science, and geography.  This class is designed to bridge the academic gap and assist your child in developing into a positive and very productive classroom leader! 

Objectives for 2 Year Olds...

Main focus in Little Learners is to provide tenderness, encouragement, and exploration through play. Research shows that play is the key to learning. Skills worked on are:

• Self-help - separation from parent/caregiver
• Self-control, and attention span
• Social/emotional skills - parallel play, taking turns and sharing, understanding rules.
• Cognitive skills - exposure to colors, sorting and matching objects, recognizing same and different.
• Language skills - understanding of language, following directions, and encouraging proper modeling
• Fine motor skills - complete small puzzle, manipulates play dough, puts together and takes apart various objects, and explores and examines different materials.
• Gross motor skills - runs and climbs over small objects, walks on tip toe to music, jumps on two feet.
